Aluminum Composite Material

Aluminum Composite Material (ACM).
One of the most modern and advanced materials available today for exterior cladding in construction. Durable, light–weight, almost does not have the same warping or oil–canning “downsides” like other metals do. Offers almost limitless possibilities for panel production.
Generally, ACM is 4mm thick, with painted aluminum skins and a core that can either be PE (polypropylene) or FR (fire-resistant, usually of mineral base). We strongly recommend that FR core material is the material that you use on any exterior installs.
Here, we fabricate panels for all existing systems – whether it is dry–seam (with all of the necessary, as per customer’s specifications), wet–seam or EZ wall. Panels will be made according to customer sizing and specifications. We are more than willing to provide our expertise in assessing any of your ACM projects and can offer a lot of custom designs and solutions.

We can also custom manufacture a variety of curved flashings. We can use your materials or ours; the choice is yours.

Metal Coping

Metal Coping 1Offering a wide range of factory-fabricated accessories such as miters, scuppers and drainage components, Petersen Aluminum provides the complete system to ensure a clean, sure-fitting product while eliminating the need for field fabrication.  TremLock Coping is designed as a parapet wall covering, protecting the top parapet walls and flashing plies from moisture intrusion while providing for movement from expansion and contraction.  Also, it eliminates exposed fasteners and continuous cleats, which are common with conventional copings.

TremLock Coping is designed with formed aluminum and steel, including splice plates and anchor plates.  The splice plates are concealed at each joint, assuring a watertight seal.

Standing Seam

A standing seam metal roof system from MBCI is one of the most durable and weathertight roof systems available in the industry. There are four basic styles of standing seam metal roofs: double lock seam, symmetrical seam, one-piece snap-lock interlock and two-piece snap-lock interlock. MBCI manufactures quality standing seam metal roofing panels that are lightweight, last up to 60 years and are a great choice for residential, commercial and recreational building applications. So, when your design requires a metal roofing system that is both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound, choose one of MBCI’s six standing seam metal roof systems.

Drip Edge

We can fabricate various size and type edge metal to satisfy all architectural needs of any project. We can also make various drip edge / gravel stop / fascia combinations.

Downspout and Gutters.

We have a variety of downspouts to offer as well as many customs made to fit your needs. Whether you need a special shape for a downspout, a custom color or a different type of metal, we are ready to assist you

Through Wall Flashing

Through Wall Masonry Flashing metal is a very important part in the construction business. The rigidity of materials such as copper and stainless steel make it a strong long lasting installation that is compatible with most sealants.

These items are always custom fabricated, therefore can be custom made to any profile, angle, size and many varied materials. Normally, these items measure 10′ in length but can also be fabricated in 12′ lengths, or be pre-cut to size. We can also match any profile.

Through-wall flashing is used to divert moisture, which has entered the wall, to the outside, before it can cause damage. This flashing method is considered the most satisfactory method of preventing leaks except in areas exposed to earthquakes.

Through-wall flashing is used at all points where moisture may enter the wall, and in selected places particularly susceptible to water damage.

Customers corner

Design ingenuity and skilled craftsmanship inspire creative form making with our cornices and custom fabrications. From refreshing contemporary designs to historic reproductions, we have a full line of tooling to produce shapes to precise specifications. An ample selection of prefabricated dentils, finals and corners also provide easy installation for enhanced visual appeal.

Counter Flashing

The Counter Flashing is custom fabricated to your measurements and available in a range of sizes, materials and profiles.

J-Channels and Trim

J Channels are designed to be used in metal roofing applications. The J channel flashing metal acts as a receiver for metal roof panelsridge caps and headwall flashing. It also helps waterproofing a roof, since its installation is water directional.

There are mainly 3 types of j channels: A simple J channel with no hem, a hemmed J channel for exposed applications, and a J channel with a nailer that receives the flat portion of a metal roof panel that can be then screwed to a roof. As an alternative, z channels may be used.

These items are always custom fabricated, therefore can be custom made to any profile, angle, size and many different materials. Normally, these items measure 10′ in length but can also be bent in 12′ lengths. We can also match any profile.

Scuppers and Conductor Heads

Scuppers are used to provide an outlet through parapet walls or gravel stops on flat and built-up roofs to allow drainage of excess water. They can be used in conjunction with gutters and downspouts to divert the flow to the desired location.
